1A. Details of the Training Course

Delivered in a Sticky Learning ® way – bite-size chunks over 3 weeks; 3 x 1.5-hour virtual classes, with Sticky Pieces ® (20-minute exercises to be completed in between virtual classes). Plus, you will need time with your line manager each week so that they can support you to achieve your ILO (Individual Learning Objective).

The virtual class dates are below and the details of how to join the Teams call will be emailed to you 1-week before each virtual class:

  • Virtual Class 1: Tuesday 16th March at 10.25am until 12.05 pm.
  • Virtual Class 2: Tuesday 23rd March at 10.25am until 12.05pm.
  • Virtual Class 3: Tuesday 30th March at 10.25am until 12.05pm.

Your Action #1: Please add these dates to your calendar.

1B. Your Tutor

Action #2 <insert a screenshot of a video of AP welcoming the Learners and sharing the learning objectives and upload to YT>: Please watch the above 3-minute video.

1C. Sticky Piece #1: Why?

Learning to drive is the most effective learning in the world. After all, most people pass! There is a key reason why driving lessons are so effective.

Firstly, driving lessons are designed using something called ‘spaced repetition‘. And secondly, because people want the freedom of being able to drive. The first one we have managed by designing this training course with Sticky Learning ®. The second one is largely down to you – but we’ll help.

Action #3: Tell us the problem you want to solve because we can try to reference it in our classes. Go to the Q&A Forum and share the problem you wish to solve. It might only be 10 words.

1D. Needing Support

If you need support, please choose from the best support from the options below:

  • For technical errors: Email helpme@makingbusinessmatter.co.uk or use live chat on the MBM website.
  • For learning queries: Use the Q&A forum. Please go to Executive Coaching if you would like one-to-one support.

Email #L2 – Let’s Get Ready to Rumble <SG: Send on 11-03-21>

Your first virtual class starts next week. You have 1 week. We need to get you ready.

2A. Details of Your Virtual Class 1

Please follow this link: Click here to join the meeting at 10.25am on Tuesday 16th March. The virtual class ends at 12.05pm. If you arrive at 10.31am we may not be able to let you in.

2B. Sticky Piece #2: What’s in it for You?

In short, the answer is ‘It’s up to you’. Please identify your individual Learning Objective because, like learning to drive, you need to know why you want to. With driving it is easy, ‘I want freedom’. With this training course identifying the why is key. Just a little more challenging to identify.

This competency framework will help. Download the Insight 2 Information competency framework.

Action #3: Complete Sticky Piece #2. And then discuss your ILO with your line manager before you begin the training course. Gain their approval (Your line manager will have received an email from us with how to support you, so they’ll be waiting for your meeting invite. As long as you added their details when you purchased the course).

2C. Sticky Piece #3: Retain More in your Virtual Class

In a virtual class, many people will scribble a couple of notes on a scrap of paper, and half-listen whilst getting some emails done. You decided to invest your time and the company’s money. So please choose to do this properly, and in turn, we’ll help you to be the best version of you.

Action #3: Quit/close Outlook. Yep, we said it. Close your email program at 10.21am on 16-03-21. Please. Then, we have a really neat way of enabling you to retain more. Head over to Keepers ®, and print 3 sheets. Andy will explain more at the start of the virtual class. If you want the advanced version, read Keepers ® and mind maps.

2D. Your Feedback so Far

Please tell us how one good thing and one thing to improve. Just head over to this 2-question form.
